EL CENTRO FLEA MARKET
There will be a flea market & porch sale at El Centro/ H2O 2 Go on Sat. Dec. 8th, - weather permitting! No Fees.  Christmas decorations and wrapping paper, plus new and vintage items that will make great gifts AND a big selection of FREE stuff.  It’s always fun; come visit.

WATER CATCHMENT
The water catchment tanks were ordered last Thursday. Please keep in touch with us so we can coordinate ETAs.  I mistakenly thought this would be the last order this year, but another truck load has already begun to fill. Only one of us will be in town this week and maybe be difficult to reach, but elcentro432@gmail.com is always best or the home # 371-2506. Please, Do not leave a message on the phone at El Centro/H2O. If you have already, you probably think we’re ignoring you - not so.

We also have mesh filter baskets that are made to fit tightly into the top of standard tanks. After the first of
the year we are going to put together a truck of those "muffin" tanks that fit inside pickup beds (between wheel wells). They are not Wylie brand, but our salesman is going to help us get them. I don't know details at this time

BILL MILLER PASSES
Please remember Bill Miller, former Terlingua resident and avid hiker, who died in his sleep early Sunday morning, November 25. He wanted no funeral or memorial service, but donated his body to the UTSA Medical School. He is survived by Deanna Bowling of San Antonio. Deanna and Bill shared a residence on upper Ross Drive for several years, and Deanna was accompanist for the community choir.

AA AND AL-ANON
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self- supporting through our own contributions.

A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
There is an AA meeting held at the Baptist Church on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.  There is also an Al-Anon meeting held on Mondays at 7:00.  Al-Anon follows the same principles of A.A. although with a different focus . Al-Anon meetings are for anyone whose life has been affected by someone else’s drinking now or in the past. The meeting is open to those who believe they have or have had a problem of alcoholism in their family or among their friend

APOCALYPSE! (Art Show/Party)  DECEMBER 21, Starlight Theatre 8 pm until THE END!
How WILL it end?  A huge fly-swatter from the sky?  Zombie-Rats?  Redwood-sized man-eating trees?  Bus-sized woman-eating marmots?  Cooties?  Justin Bieber albums causing everyone's brains to explode???  Who knows...?  All I know is...Terlingua, Texas: BEST PLACE TO BE FOR THE END TIMES!  So, we're gonna party like it IS the end...kind of like Prince in 1999 but without a tiny freak in purple licking his guitar.  We'll have Mad Max characters in spikes and leather, carrying sharp boomerangs...that, and Zombies stumbling around looking for someone to chew on.  I heard the Four Horsemen will be riding in at some point.  Jesus, you gonna show?

(((JUST REMEMBER...the APOCALYPSE Art Show is the After-Party for Elizabeth's anuual Solstice gathering. I must emphasize that...Elizabeth's thing is the time to reflect on life with good friends, eat some amazing food, and gaze into the campfire... the APOCALYPSE thing is the time to look at crazy art, see people in outlandish over-the-top costumes, and watch people play with fire...and then WE DANCE UNTIL THE END!!!)))

Disastrous Art, Prophetic Performances, Devastating Costumes, and Cataclysmic Snacks...
DECEMBER 21, Starlight Theatre 8 pm until THE END!

December 11, 2012   ~  VOL. 23 #50
Three loving daughters surrounded Ruth Allbright as she passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 in El Paso, Texas. She lived a full, blessed life to the age of 95 years young. Ruth was a distinguished lady of the Big Bend, and could be seen at social and political events with her stylish hats and beaming smile. She loved the outdoors and the people that shared that love.  She will be dearly missed by her friends and family.  She requested no memorial, but expect to see a few "Celebrations of Life" in 2013.  Memorial gifts may be made to the Sunshine House of Alpine,  Alpine Public Library or Hospice of El Paso.
