Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence.

El Centro de la Cultura (Family Crisis Center of the Big Bend) is a non-profit community assistance center located next to the Terlingua Store only yards away from a cliff. One of the old main mine shafts is just forty feet away.
The Center staffs a highly qualified and experienced counselor and is open every day to serve the needs of the Terlingua area.
There is a large meeting room, a huge kitchen with a walk in reefer, a fully equipped office with Wi-Fi Internet access, private counseling room, and a media room where one can rent a movie for a dollar, and watch it there! They have "old-timey modern" restrooms...with running water even!
Donate to the Crisis Center
Money raised goes into the community to provide assistance to families in crisis.
If you would like to support the worthy mission of the Crisis Center, call or write Lovika De Koninck at El Centro de la Cultura, or email Dr. Doug and he'll make arrangements with the proper authorities.
VivaTerlingua!
To do something, however small, to make others happier and better, is the highest ambition, the most elevating hope, which can inspire a human being.
- Sir John Lubbock, Lord Avebury
First, do no harm. Stop the violence. Quit worrying. Love and help one another. Be very, very happy.
